Dear Browser Subscriber,
We’ve spent quite a lot of time and a modest amount of money over the past few months exploring how best to make The Browser available as an app for Apple and Android devices.
Our conclusion is that we can’t beat the reading experience provided by Pocket, which makes a range of free reading apps for phones and tablets.
So, if you’d like to receive our daily choice of articles for reading offline on a phone or tablet, we recommend that you:
1) download the Pocket app to your phone or tablet;
2) create a free Pocket account on the Pocket app;
3) connect your Pocket account to your Browser account.
To connect your Pocket account to your Browser account, you will need to:
1) go to your settings page on The Browser website: https://thebrowser.com/my-account
2) click on the option to “Connect my Browser and Pocket accounts”
You will see a pop-up window from Pocket asking you to confirm that you are giving The Browser access to your Pocket account.
Once you have connected your Pocket account to your Browser account, all of the articles recommended on The Browser each day will be pushed automatically to your queue in Pocket, for reading on Pocket whenever and wherever you wish.
If you have trouble connecting your Pocket account to your Browser account please let us know, and we will do our best to help: firstname.lastname@example.org.
