The Los Angeles neighbourhood of Sunken City fell into the Pacific Ocean in 1929. A hotel was demolished and other buildings were relocated before the slumping land caused irrevocable damage. Technically off limits to the public, locals have been hopping the fence for decades. A "gigayacht" is a pleasure craft measuring at least 295 feet in length. Only around a hundred are afloat today, owned and used by the ultra-wealthy.
