As he shaved me, the monk explained to me that this arrangement was intentional and symbolic. It was supposed to represent losing vanity. But I could think of nothing but my vanity. Why Are There No Good Dinosaur Films?

Everyone, other than the makers of Jurassic Park, misunderstands the cinematic appeal of dinosaurs. They are not supernatural beings or aliens. They were real and we can see their fossilised remains, but we will never meet them. A dinosaur film thus has to be about the fact that "there is both power and horror in humanity’s futile pursuit to extend influence over that which it cannot contain" (3,400 words)
