Decline of the English pub. Three go out of business every day. Hit by
smoking ban, cheap supermarket drink, recession. Those that survive ruined
by big brewers, who want "high-volume vertical drinking", not cosy places to
linger

Brutal attack on Obama. He suckered Democrats by promising a strong

-by Richard Trexler -
